new/intro
hello.
I'm new to cars and modding. I don't know much. I don't do my own work.
I would love to one day get a set up garage and start to learn but for now everything that happens with my car is happening to my daily driver work vehicle and needs to be functional, reliable and not broken (by me trying to learn how to do something).
When this car is "done" then i may get a project beater that i can fiddle with and prolly destroy in the process of learning.
Very much interested in doing that but for now i have trusted mechanics that are willing to do mods for me.
So, here are some details about what is going on:
'98 civic, cx 3door
Engine: b16a2 swapped (full swap kit, axles, rad, etc)
Drive train: GSR Transmission, with a type-r LSD
Exedy stage 2 clutch kit wth a lighter exedy fly wheel
Suspension: HSD coilovers
BWR sub frame brace, BWR rear lower control arms
sway bars in front and back
Breaks: '98 integra discs front and back
Exhaust: ebay quality 2, 1/4" exhaust with a dumb cannon on the back
Wheels: replica racing wheels 15" with rubber I forget (kajiji, just got'm)(they ok)
Coming up:
camber and toe kits are going in soon - alignment is screwy and needs to be fixed
excitement: i have recently booked time for the engine to be turbo'd - early next month.
For the turbo: going to keep the ac (daily work driver) so the set up takes that into account. The target gains are for a two step system with roughly 9psi for the first and 14psi for the second. The respective targets are 250whp and 350whp. I may or may not get the exhaust changed at that point - money being the main factor.
I would love to be able to take this vehicle to the track (either drag strip or circuit) but that may have to wait till next summer when there is an extra vehicle involved....

Just to add something: the what i just described is my first car. Ever.
Would i make different decisions if i had it to do over? Prolly.
H22sumthin? Prolly.
Gsr motor? Or that.
Start with a car with a cleaner body? Smart idea. Prolly gonna paint this one anyways. Then get another car.
That being said, i am immensely happy with this and its developments.
Very much love this.
