Hello, my name is Dominic. Im 16 years old (yes im pretty young) i have a 2001 honda civic. I got the car for pretty cheap but its exactly what I wanted for a first car and it came with some issues and car was put togeather by a red neck pretty much so most things are barely put together lol which im fine with cause I wanted a car to learn on and ive heard hondas are pretty simple and easy to work on. I plan on making this car my project car though out the rest of my high school career. I have some good general knowledge about my car but there are some questions i may have in which I will ask on here. Some of the current issues with the car are fender and door is dented (I can easily fix just a matter of when I find one at local ewepull it) transmission has false neutral slips. Currently sitting in my garage cause can not figure out the problem I replaced transmission fluid and that didnt fix it so I scanned it and it said my clutch solenoid was broken so i replaced that and still didnt fix it so I decided to go through and fix every single solenoid left on the transmission including shift solenoids and none fixed my issue. Ive done some extensive research and everything is telling me is to either replace torque converter or rebuild transmission. I can get my hands on a torque converter pretty easily and I also have a spare transmission off a 2002 honda civic that ive pulled my solenoids off.
