Hi honda tech im barry from ireland, i drive a yellow ek9 and i love honda's im on a few other honda forums such as honda-haven and ek9.org but iv been meaning to join honda tech with a long time.

I have my yellow ek9 with about a year, i had a champ white ek9 before this that i was after putting a lot into so when i bought this car all the nice stuff was coming off the white one and into this as this was standard b16b and standard gearbox etc,so i had the 2 cars for a couple of weeks while i had to change everything...so in went b18c, 4.9 final drive, uprated clutch and flywheel, air intake, full exhaust etc..

The original b16b was a very healthy one, i have a dyno sheet from couture auto and it was 190bhp which is very very good for a b16 on there dyno but i way prefer the power from a b18 so had to do the swap and then i got it remapped on hondata s300 by inspector (aka trevor) it was just a road map but it made a huge difference id recommend him highly i didnt get a dyno map because i was thinking at the time of doing some headwork new cams etc and then to get it dyno mapped but i havnt got around to that yet..

I will also be getting more spoon parts like brakes etc its just going to keep getting better and better

So heres the spec:

>light weight model original yellow ek9..
>no electric windows,no electric mirrors, no airbags, no air-con..

ENGINE:
*B18C from 96 spec ITR..
*98 spec S80 with 96 spec 4th and 5th..
*Gear X 4.9 final drive..
*Exedy clutch..
*Fidanza flywheel..
*Hondata s300 (with launch control) mapped by Inspector (aka trevor)..
*98 spec ITR manifold..
*Adjustable decat..
*Spoon b-pipe..

*Password jdm rad stay..
*Password jdm cooling panel..

yeah 54th and clyde park sonic is the spot. when i lived in GR we used to chill at dog dawgs, 44th and division. i met a lot of honda peeps from holland...mostly track guys but cool peeps altogether. i used to rip around GR in my yellow 89 CRX with a LS/vtec swap.

My name is Andy and I am active duty Air Force stationed at Ellsworth AFB, SD. I am taking online courses for auto technician and after reading about how to do an engine build I really wanted to take apart an engine. Sadly i drive a new car with a warranty. Although my roommate has a built low compression VQ-35 sitting in the garage thats about to replace his stock 350z engine with a gt-35r strapped on. I dont want to **** his **** up.

So i saw a deal on a forum about honda engines for sale and i ended up trading a guy my xbox 360 and tv for a b18a and b20b block with heads. I was going to use these engines just for practice taking apart an engine and rebuilding it. But i have several friends that talked me into building the b18 for high boost and finding a shell to put it in. Even though I gave honda owners a bad time because of all the shitty rice i see done to them. I have always had a special place for a eg hatch, crx, or ef hatch. So at the end of this month I am buying a shell of some sort and slowly building a fun hatch.

I've owned a bunch of cars in the past 8 years of driving but the ones i miss the most are my 07' mazdaspeed 6 and 05' Ram SRT-10.

here are some pics and I hope to learn alot from this forum and this car.

hey guys, my name is Justin from San Francisco, CA, recently bought a 1996 midori green honda civic hatchback as a DD since i also own a 2005 white 350z. New to hondas but not new to the scene. i owned a 2005 scion tc before and didnt appreciate the low cost of matience and gas consumption until i got the 350z, thats why i decided to pick up a civic. hopefully with this forum i will be able to find helpful threads about DIY oil changes and stuff to help me with my car.

Hey everyone... new guy from nw ohio area, just bought my first civic a few months ago. 1992 EX 4door. Trying to get it de-riced and make it a nice and fun daily driver. possibly b or ls swap it in the future. I've already painted it satin black, and hope to lower it soon and redo the exhaust.
