Hello Everybody,
I have owned 5 acuras and Hondas in my lifetime. I currently own a 1999 Acura El 1.6 which is now sitting with what I believe is a blown head gasket. I also drive every day a 1999 civic Si (in the United States it would be the EX model) I also had a 1995 Integra GSR which I have the drivetrain in my garage still. (body rotted out) I had a 2013 tsx 6 speed manual but sold to my father as he needed a car and I was unhappy with it. Lastly I used to own a cbr250r but with children, motorcycles don't mix.
My aspirations are to put the b18c into the El now that the D16y8 has possibly failed. My every day car has only bolt ons but is a great day to day car! Current project with my daily will be taking out the power steering in favor of a manual rack!
I look forward to seeing everybody's projects!
Peter

sup everybody so im new on here, and have an issue with my honda starting was hoping to get some pointer im going to post a thread in the engine and maintenace forum section. i will attach a link to this comment once i create it. Im very green when it comes to working on cars i just successfully replaced my starter from a used one at pick and pull. and it worked first try so i was proud of that. but yea my buddy helping me didn't tell me to make sure the radiator hose gets clamped back on that he took off so i just had it pushed back on there, since i'd just spent the whole day replacing the starter in the sun, i was in a hurry to be done. so needless to say this led to a major overheat a couple weeks later. ill explain more in my thread. thanks

New member,
Here to get tips on going about upgrading my 91 hatch. Shes been sitting 2 years due to a shitty swap and wiring job that caused it to idle weird. Had 2 shops look at it and not be able to figure it out, until I met this Honda Guru guy near me. He got me up an running finally.
She already has a B16 swap and has now been upgraded to OBD1. My goal is to try and keep her looking as original looking as possible, while still making decent upgrades.
Suspension is my current project at hand. Had to replace the TA bushings and upgraded the LCAs.

Currently building my first Honda Civic Em1. Street build that I will Daily. Purchased the car back in Feb and have been doing small upgrades and maintenance.
Since then I have purchased about $8000 or more worth of parts for the build.
Once I can I will start a build log and have lots of nice parts for sale along the way.
Have been lurking around the forum for 8-9 months and always find the best info here.
Look forward to all the help and having anyone interested in following the build watching the progress as it happens.
Waiting on valves that should be here in 4 days and the build shall commence!

Hello all. Used to drive a TL Type-S and had a '98 ITR for the track. Have gotten rid of both and have an ITR header and exhaust to sell, so joined here to see if anyone was interested. Need to get my mandatory posts out of the way so I can post in marketplace...

Hey everybody, my name's Anthony, this is my first time on Hondatech and my first time on any forum for that matter. Some of you might have seen my dad around though who has been a long time Hondatech member, @CW-ITR. Don't really know how forums work and probably never will. Here is my ride, a 2001 Integra Type R. I'm a broke college student at the moment so rocking a mismatched set of wheels, pair of TE37 in the front and SSR Type C's in the rear. Feel free to hmu if you are in NorCal and want a photoshoot or to meet up!

Hello I’ve used many forums over the years to help me answer questions while working on my vehicles. I bought by 2nd Honda recently. I used to own a 2000 Honda Civic coupe ex 5 speed a few years back. Recently bought a 1997 Honda Accord LX 5 speed previous owner swapped in a vtec engine from an ex wagon of the same year. Currently not wired up for vtec and needs tlc! She’s not gorgeous but I’m looking forward to the road to recovery!

Hey guys ,
New to the import scene. Just picked up my first project which is a 92 Da9 hatch with a b18a1 n/a and a 5 speed. Car has had performance stuff on it prior to me purchasing as far as I can tell. Looking to do a minor turbo build on the ls block. It's my daily and want to have fun learning/building but not sacrifice reliabilty at this point. Open to suggestion and any helpful pointers you guys may have.

This is ogpala, I am glad to find this site.
I am from Canada. I have a 2005 Honda Accord EX V6. I am looking for information on how to replace the light for the gear shift. I tried to open the cover of the gear lever but was afraid to break the plastic. Is there a special tool to remove the plastic cover? My Honda dealer told me it will cost $130 for labor and $6 for the light bulb which is not even a LED light bulb.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance.

I'm Mike, living in Oklahoma. I have always visited this forum but never had the chance to join myself until now. Been with hondas since 2004 when I bought my first CRX in TN. Since then I have Owned 4 CRXs, 1 Civic EP3, 1 S2K, 15' Civic Hybrid(best one), 4 Civic EG and 1 Insight. Currently have the Insight and The civic EG. Planning on keeping these 2. This site has helped me through the years with all my cars, so it is time I put some knowledge back into it. Godbless.

Re: Member Introductions
I've been in to Honda's since I was 16. I have had several 92-95 hatchbacks, a 91 hatch, 96 4 door, 07 coupe and currently have a car I have been after for many years my first SI. It's a 2013 SI bone stock at the moment but love it as it is! I also am into motorcycles and currently own a 2011 kawasaki ninja zx6r.
My Current 2013 civic SI
My 2011 Kawasaki Ninja Zx6r
This was my baby back in the mid 2000's. It was a 1994 civic cx body. I pulled the 1.5 engine out and put in a 1.8 ls motor with a gsr trans, put in an rsx type s black interior, carbonfiber hood and duckbill spoiler, koni yellow shocks with eibach lowering springs, mugen front lip and 2000 si rims. Sadly in 2008 its was stolen and found 2 days later completely stripped.

Hey guys, the names Damien, I’ve been trying to get more into the car scene and my Honda is what I’ve chosen to do that with, I recently got an 87 crx hf and I love the thing. I’m here to learn as much as I can about the cars as well as to meet other enthusiasts
