Default im new

hey, names brad.

i have an automatic 1994 honda accord sir coupe ( h22a engine, CD8 chassis), (made in usa- sold only overseas) I also just recently bought a new pioneer usb etc head unit and pioneer front speakers for $150, Jvc 3-way 400w rear spkrs for $58, sub box for $55, fusion 1000w max-250w rms sub for $58, fusion ca-am10900 1600w max 300w rms amp for $135 and of course wiring kit for $35 NZD. all up thats under $500 and it sounds mean, getting a few jealous compliments, lol. the sub and amp aint a perfect match but so long as im careful they shud b fine. sorry, i just wanted to add that. now i just need sum new 16" rims - i would love to convert to manual but that would be expensive and id b better off just buying one already manual, lol. also need new bulbs for spotlights and the left window doesnt work but i sort all that and its a flawless car. you gotta love h22a's!

Thanks for reading, any comments- related or not are welcome

cheers!

Iv just recently bought an em2 and my amp wasnt a perfect match for my sub so everytime i put the volume over 20 i blow the fuse its not fun having to change the fuse all the time so where did you get your amp from

I'd advise you to pick them up because the moment you put the volume up after like 2 minutes it will blow

i have usually been listenning with the volume at 46 and the hpf at 125 hz (for the speakers - so the sub does most of the bass/ can turn speakers up louder/ spkrs wont get damaged) - at first i had set the sub gain for the vol at 52 but the speakers were too loud/ high pitched lol. but no matter where i set my max volume i also have the sub gain set to its max useable vol at that point (so i guess none of that was relevant) and still no blown fuses.

on a side note(change of topic)

ive been trail riding occasionally with my 2001 honda cr125 for a few years now and just ordered sum gear- gloves, pants, jersey. it was the newest line of thor for 2013.thor are a reasonably big/known mx brand. all up it was $199 NZD inc postage. But they arrived today and if it didnt cost me $200 i would have burst out laughing because the pants are the size - if not bigger than, a pair of parachute pants! (like off hammer time - cant touch this, lol) Wtf? i aint wearing that ****.. what do i do?

yea, id better get sum then, my mates and my brothers systems keep blowing fuses( my mates even melted the fuse holder once) and both their setups are less powerfull than mine and i think if anything their subs are underpowered rather than slightly overpowered like mine.

Sounds like the amps are just cranked up and can't handle the power. Take it to a car audio shop or a buddy that knows car audio and get them to tune the amp so youre not overpowering it. Also look up some supporting mods, i.e. capacitor, etc.
