howdy!
Hey everyone!
I'm Ryan and I recently acquired a 1997 Civic DX coupe 5speed with 135k miles
I purchased this vehicle as a commuter car to keep miles off my new truck(2015 z71 Silverado)
So far the car is great, had to do a few things so far. shifter bushings/inner tie rod...
I'm having this problem with an intermittent sputtering, will happen at around 50% throttle mostly at lower rpm. I pulled the plugs and they looked pretty good but the gap was rather tight, so I opened them up to 0.044 but that didn't seem to make a difference. I pulled the cap and rotor and found the inside of the cap looking very burned and the tab on the rotor gone. replaced those and though it seems to idle smoother and run better the sputter is still there. any advice would be great! I sure hope its not a distributer problem =(
