Default Hello there!

Greetings fellow Honda Lovers! I'm amidst a rebuild of my first car. EJ1. I'm currently having my Z6 rebuilt and I'm doing the manual swap myself. The machine shop will torque the head to the block for me with oil pan on and valve cover on along with Timing belt covers. I will reassemble everything else and drop in the car with a new manual ex/si hydraulic transmission.

Currently I'm stuck with what to do about the intake manifolds. I hear so many good things about the y8 IM, and I have one, however I'm concerned about putting any ODBII parts on the car. Can't I just leave everything the same as the Z6 and just swap over to a manual throttle body? I'd need to find a y8 distributor if I went with a y8 IM correct? I just don't feel like drilling into the y8 for a sensor (IACV is already there).

If anyone has a good opinion on what I should do feel free to comment. Ideally I'd like to use my z6 IM on the z6 head and block and use a manual throttle body pulled from the same engine, just a manual. This car has not run in 5 years and I just want to get her going again as I am on a major budget. Once I have funds to drop a good amount of money in her I want to go K series. I just want to keep her simple, keep her stock and keep her clean. Build suspension how I want and THEN go for more power.

By the way her name is Natasha.

Looking good! Car looks really clean in the pics, but I'd get an OEM bumper for it. It'd look much better with that IMO. Good luck on the swap and build!
