Default DIY Guy

Im new to honda tech....im a DIY kinda guy from NY. Although most of my DIY projects arent successful. I prefer to fix a problem on my car then to ever pay a mechanic.

I drive a 95 honda accord 4dr AT F22B2 engine 250,000 mi.

I have tons of problems with my car n i just want to fix them. Hopefully i have come to the right place to find answers.

Thank you guys in advance.

First issue that annoys the hell out of me is the idle issues. I have read many posts already about idle problems...do you think other iacv & fitv and all other air related issues, that it could b an electrical issue. The alternator or distributor?

Hey Man! Welcome!!
First off, is your car idling high or slow and stalling? Might be something as simple as cleaning out your throttle body housing, tightening a cable, or even replacing your air intake valve.
Has anything on it been replaced before that you know of?

start from cleaning up throttle, and see if there are any hols in pipes before throttle body.

clean all sensor conectors that you can easily see and map sensor.

it could be a 100 causes for your problem from dirty petrol filter or injectors to crappy TPS, so you must be more specific...

I have cleaned all around the TB except for the IACV. Its a pain in the AZZ to get those two bolts out.
I have tightened my fitv which seem to reduce the up n down idle from 2500-3000 rpm all the way to it idleing at 1700-2000 rpm. Problem may be that there is nothing covering my fitv due to previous owner. I can easily just tighten the donut shaped valve with out removing any screws.
I checked for vaccum leaks n there are none. Coolant has been bled so its not coolant.
TPS is fine.
I have installed an AEM short ram air filter n pipe 10 months ago.
Thanks for the help, any suggestions or might b forgetting anything?

did you clean the fitv? its possible that its dirty because its uncovered..

serch you tube if the following link isnt your fitv

clean also your throttle (i dont think thats the cause of the problem, but always must be clean)

if not the fitv, than try the injectors...
