Idle problem...Need help honda Lovers...
This is wat I found on the net.... this is what my problem is... my car idles funnie
it idles at 3000 rpm when I start it while cold...then it drops to 1000rpm then goes back up to 3000 till it gets warm then it stops and stays at 1500 rpm...After reading this info about my car...I went to check my throttle body and found 2 holes
I've covered one of them...then my car idles normaly agian...but what I don't understand is y I got 2 hole...ant it suppose to be just one? well anyways how can I fix it??? plug it? need new throttle body? and yes this is an upgraded throttle body...it was honed out by a japanese guy... Yoshio Automotive ...if u ever heard of him..thx for ur time... Honda Eg6 owner
Could be your Idle air bypass vavle do a search, there was a similar post
days ago, real quick way to find out, take your intake tube off the throttle
body and there should be a hole in there somewhere (before the throttle
plates) try covering the hole (with car idling) with a rag or your finger and if
the idle drops to normal then the problem lies in the above mentioned
component. If you don't see the hole then run your finger around the inside of
the throttle body. BTW thats the only hole in there. hope this helps

fast idle valve maybe? that bypasses the throttle body till the car warms up..then when its warm, it drops idle...
