zc vtec swap in del sol
Heres the deal. I ahve a 94 del sol and I swapped a jdm zc vtec (jdm d16z6) in to it. I had a problem with it not reving pass 3k and not idling. I fixed the idle problem because i had a timing issue. The ECU is throwing a code "0" meaning bad ECU. Well Ifigured that since i had to wire VTEC that the harness is bad and fried the ECU. So I am going to change it out with a OBD1 92-95ex harness with VTEC or a VX harness. I am also going to get a chipped P28. Now my question is, will the USDM chipped P28 work with my JDM motor ok??? Also I am thinking about puting on another distributor. Does this all sound right?? If not tell me what you think.
Thanks

Re: zc vtec swap in del sol (1 del slo)
if your ZC has the oil pressure on the vtec solenoid then yes it will work without any problems (also rember that you'll need 4 wire 02 (not 1 wire as do JDM sohc vtecs come with)
btw. I am running the same setup (dirty but pretty quick overall)
