would map sensor cel stop vtec from workin?
hey i just completed a swap into my friends 94 si we put a b16a in it and got it all running and everything but vtec isnt kickin in. at the moment the O2 sensor on the header and the map sensor arent funtioning properly. and its throwin both the 41 and 3 cel. would these put the ecu in safe mode and cause the vtec not to kick in?

It will not.
It will not.
does on mine. When i drive the car it will run sluggish. If i rev it past 4k the cel comes on and the car is definately in limp mode. It will barely run after that. When I check the code it comes up as 23.

There's definitely another problem with throwing the car into limp mode then. MAP sensor is not getting the right vacuum or TPS is not set right.
KS does not affect VTEC function.
