Wiring question for a obd1 GSR into a 1998 GS
What wires do I need to change/remove from the GS chassis harness to make this work? I have the engine in and this is all that is holding me up. I went to wire up vtec but realized that there is only one black spot on the shock tower chassis harness and I need 2 or 3 to do vtec alone. Do I have to wire up anything else other than vtec?
I'm getting a serious headache from searching for shock tower pin outs and remedys. Let me know if you can help at all

Re: Wiring question for a obd1 GSR into a 1998 GS
I have to get it to run on the obd2 ecu so I can pass inspection (they plug it in). I have the stock obd2 LS/GS engine harness, but thought that it would be easier to run the GSR engine harness because all of the sensors and what not are wired in.
I did start the car and it runs/idles fine (but I have not driven it yet because I have to fab up my new exhaust). Now I just ran the codes on the obd2 ecu and something weird came up. I haven't wired in vtec, done the CKF sensor bypass, and the second o2 sensor (one behind the cat) isn't hooked up. The ecu threw the codes for the heater on o2 sensor 1 bank and also threw the heater code for o2 sensor 2 bank 1, along with the code for immobilizer (1259)(which this ecu doesn't have) and for checking the maitenance notebook (1337).
What the hell am I doing wrong? I called boomslang and they said that other than vtec it should just be a plug and play, but when I was tracing wires I didnt see that at all. Which engine harness should I be using to fix this? Is the obd1 GSR engine harness even going to work with the obd2 chassis harness or am I going to have to use the obd2 engine harness and wire in the added sensors and stuff for the GSR?

Use your stock harness, do the CKF fix, and wire the knock sensor, Vtec solenoid, and pressure switch.
I have a D16Z6 in my girlfriend 97 ex coupe, Everything obd2 is still wired, put in obd2 EX ecu and the car passes fine.

Ok so the obd1 GSR harness is a for sure no go? I hate to rip apart the two harnesses if the GSR can be made to work relatively easily but if I have too I will. I'm only throwing 4 codes with the GSR harness as of right now, one being the VTEC system (which is not wired), another is the RPM fluctuating sensor which I imagine is the CKF sensor (which I havent fixed yet), and the other two are the oxygen sensor heater codes (one is there the other is not). But If i should just go with the stock harness then I'm not going to waste much more time with this one.
Dont I have to wire the IAB for the GSR intake manifold to function properly?
