Wiring help with B18C in an EK! Pics inside
JDM OBDI B18C in a 98 CX hatch. Having some problems and questions. Any help is appreciated. Using a 98 EX harness right now, still have my CX one if I need it.
What plug goes into the black one screwed in the manifold? Where does the plug up top go?
Distributor plug on harness is different from that on distributor. Can I cut the harness one and solder in the one off the JDM harness which will plug into the distributor? The CX harness distributor plug fits in fine.
Plug hanging next to the shift linkage. Is it the O2 sensor plug b/c I cant find any other ones it is rectangular 4 wire plug with: green w/white stripe, orange w/black stripe, yellow w/black stripe, and white.
I hope thats it. I dont see any other plugs hanging around unplugged...
Also, do I need a GS-R throttle cable or can I use the stock one?

Thanks for the help guys. If that plug is the IAT then what's this?
Also what is this green plug? I found it lying under my swap just like you see it. My friend told me its the VTEC pressure sensor plug but no where on my solenoid does it plug in.

As for the distributor plug, the plug on the harness doesnt fit into the plug on the distributor. However, on my JDM harness that came with the engine I was wondering if I could cut that off and cut off the plug on the harness I am using and solder it in it's place.

Yeah it should but that is a JDM VTEC solenoid and nothing can screw into that hole. I seem to have the VTEC pressure sensor but I don't know where it goes!

I had the exact same prob with the dist. i did not wanna cough up $250+ basically for the plugs. i got so desperete that i too thought about cutting the wires and making it work somehow. if u still have the dist that is supposed to plug in to your harness, check the wires on both distrubitors to see what wire goes where. should work but u run the chance of creating a short, i dont really recomend it unless its your last hope. what i did,is swap out the internals of each dist (coil & igniter). your other choice is u can try and get that dist rebuild so that it can have the right plugs. good luck.
