Default Will a stock unchipped p28 start and run an obd1 H22?

I'm trying to diagnose some issues with my swap and decided to try some other ecus for testing.

I've read a lot of archived threads and it seems that the stock p28 ecu should at least start and run on the h22, but not correctly.

On my car I get no CEL with a stock h22, but the car will not start.

Can anybody verify that a stock p28 will start and run an H22?

I'm not looking to even drive the car on the p28, just for testing purposes to see if the issue is on the car or on the ecu.

Considering that most people agree that the p28 should at least start the car I'm guessing I have an issue in my wiring harness.

thank you for the confirmation.

I've completely torn apart my harness now and I'm Ohm testing everything to make sure all my wiring is correct.

would NOT reccomend driving too far on it!!!
I switch all sorts of ecu's around when I have issues with my stand alone, its amazing how they each react, especially in comparison to the Satndalone.

Good luck on your problem. Wiring issues are never fun to mess with.
If you are looking for an aftermarket ECU, i would reccommend phearable.net. I purchased an ECu from him because I did not have the means to properly wire EGR and the butterflies. Has been working flawlessly for the past month.
