If you are running a OBD1 ECU and harness it will work. If trying to use a OBD0 harness and ECU it won't work.

I would like info on this also..
Can I use obd0 dist, obd0 harness, with conversion harness from 0bd0-obd1 to an obd1 ECU?

I am running an obd1 gsr distrbutor on my crx converted to obd1. I used the original harness and had the plug for the distrbutor repinned for a clean install.

As far as fitting the GSR distributor to a first gen B16, yes it will work but you would need to be using an OBD1 or OBD2 ECU. You can't use an OBD1 (or OBD2 for that matter) distributor controlled by an OBD0 ECU and vice versa. Now as far as OBD1 and OBD2 distributors go, they are fully interchangeable because they are basically the same internally and only the plug style is different (which can be changed really easily).

You can not use a OBD1 dizzy on a non OBD car. There is no way to make it work,
now if you wire your car to OBD1 then you can use that dizzy. But in less you change all the wiring over its not happen
(Hope this helps)

Oh ya and if you do change over to OBD1 you have to get a new O2 and ECU as well

Isn't the Crank Position Sensor different between OBD 1(in dizzy) and Obd 2(in oil pump?) how do you get pass this without re wiring. I know you can switch them but it would seem modification is needed to go between 0bd1 and obd 2

No, the Crank sensor is the same in both OBD1 and OBD2 distributors. You are talking about the Crank Fluctuation sensor on USDM OBD2 motors which is on the oil pump. That is a separate sensor all it's own for OBD2 cars.

Thats cool, i was wondering about that other sensor myself. When i dissmanteled a B16B last year it was a 2000 model and didn't have it, i wondered why?
