building a crx with an ls at the moment, all ready to go except i need a distributor. im all wired obd1 already, but im having a hell of a time finding an obd1 dizzy at a decent price. got an old obd0 ls dizzy laying around though, if i swap the plugs on the harness will it work or is it electronically incompatible with obd1?

You can wire it to work. Rywire has a harness that allows you to use the obd0 on an obd1 setup

NO it will not work. your ecu and distributor must be of the same OBD.

Isn't it something to do with cam angle sensors being built in on obd1 and seperate in obd0?

OBD0 and OBD1 distributors are internally different and
NOT compatible.

EF YU, you are correct!

The reluctor wheel inside have different tooth count and ultimately send the ECU different electronic signals.
OBD0 - 16teeth
OBD1 - 24teeth

The jumper harnesses do NOT solve this problem.
They simply allow you to plug in different distributors (to match your ECU) into your existing engine harness.

OBD2 and OBD1 are compatible.
This thread has nothing to do with OBD2 though so your post is completely irrelevant.
OBD0 and OBD1.

I read this post completely backwards. The only way that Rywire harness works is if you had an OBD0 chassis and wanted to use an OBD1 Distributor with a matching ECU. You cannot use the OBD0 on an OBD1, they can't be interchanged. That's what I get for being half asleep while posting.
