Check the year on the head.. by the headers, should have a year number there for the engine

Ok don't quote me on all of this but I think:

B16A1 in production until 93 or 94
B16A3 Del-Sol Vtec
B16A2 99-00 Civic Si
B16B CTR (Don't get your hopes up!!!)

Hope this helps.

Just look on your head I PROMISE that it is on there cause the ecu can be a different year than the motor save yourself the hassle of trying to look for anything else besides that number stamped on the head.

if its a JDM motor there is no designating number at the end (a2, a3, etc) its just B16a

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by JDMOrangeFever &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Check the year on the head.. by the headers, should have a
year number there for the engine</TD></TR></TABLE> thats a good way to tell the year, but what if its a 95? could be obd 1 or 2 as engines are made before the cars so they are stamped earlier. i had a 1991 second gen b16a.
