what T-belt to use with a b18c block and ctr head ?
I was with my friend today trying to finish his motor and when we came to the part where we need to install the t-bel ,, itididn fit ... this was a brand new gsr t belt ...
motor is a b18c1 with a ctr head

he is saying make sure you are tensioning the belt correctly. Because the gsr is the right belt. Due to the fact the you are using a gsr block and the head is the same height as a gsr. whats the part number of the belt? or is it reused?

well he told me that he order it from passwordjdm and yea I did look for that p72 part number , bc I know all gsr parts are p72 so I was looking for it but what I only saw was pt3 or pr3 or something like that

You need to look at it again. If it does say pr3 you have the wrong timing belt. You need to go to acura and order this part number....14400-P72-014

did u loosen the tensioner first? if it hasnt been loosened, u'll never get that thing on.

oh alright, well, try this one out. which motors water pump r u using? the b18, or did u go with the v-tec water pump too?

If you bought a pr3 belt from honda or acura you are pretty much stuck with it. I have never been able to get them to take a return from me. Check the price on a b16 water pump versus a gsr timing belt and just buy the cheaper of the two.
