don't waste the time on the b16 unless it's for boost. it's seriously not worth it, esp when your d makes more torque (or atleast it's close)
if you want to leave the internals alone, go gsr or ITR, if you want to build something, go CRV or LS bottom end with pick-your-vtec-head...
i purchased a JDM GSR with LSD trans this week after 10 years with built sohcs, ride is '97 CX hatch...

Re: What swap should i go with for my ek (builthatch)
Personally...I'd love to throw a B16 into my project hatch with some valvesprings, high-end power band cams, and gear it with a 4.9 FD I do have a coupe with a B18 in it for daily driving though...

i would not even waste my money boosting the b16 too tell you the truth and the D done correctly always makes more torque then the b16 B/S

LOL
personally i would take a built SOHC D any day with a choice of 4.7 or 4.9 final drive will kill a b16 b/s any day of the week
just my 2 cent haters!

That would be fun too. I have a moderately built SOHC in the hatch right now and I admit, it's fun.
