I wnat to do h23 vtec!!!
i have siezed h22a4.
removed the head.
found someone who give me a short block h23 for 150-200/
i need like a real walkthough. not that list of parts bull.
also how reliable is this setup/
i been searchin!!
btw this is going into my eg civic hatch wich has an h22a1. which started trippin the knock sensor everytime i drive!!!!

any setup can be reliable if built right. from what ive read its not that great of a swap though, the bottom end of the H23 wasnt made to spin to 7000+ rpms, it doesnt have the oil squirters like the H22... why not just rebuild your motor or get another H22 shortblock? i think you need to use that old search button

h23vtec is the way to go, you'll love the power, just dont rev it higher then needed and you'll be fine....everything needs to be vtec and you can take that all from your old longblock...

haha, u aint BEEN searching hard enough, i guess the search owns you i found all the info i needed on the h23 vtec conversion, so i know its there.

he means you will have to swap all of your vtec parts from your H22 motor onto the H23 block, pretty much the only H23 parts you will use are the block, pistons, and crank. i cant remember exactly how the swap is done you have to search for that

lol basically, just gets me mad that the is an h23vtec faq thread and people are too lazy to search...i did 4 of these i know them pretty good...he's just asking the wrong questions.

yeh compression will drop due to the h22's bigger combustion chamber in the head, but will still be a dope setup, for now atleast.
