or you can do the swap yourself its rely easy man maby just have them do the auto to manual for you but a b18 is simple and a good base for power

^ guess you didnt catch the part where he said, its auto and he wants to keep it like that.
800 is ball park for a swap for labor.
b series auto going into eg needs a bit of fab work because the trans hits the frame.

d16 will be ALOT cheaper. basically pull longblock install new longblock. if u go b18 u need axles/shiftlinkage/new tranny/ fab work bc u wanna stay auto/ auto harness for b series/ etc...

Fail. Your issue with a b swap is your wanting to keep an auto tranny so it will cost more to make a auto tranny fit. A manual would be simple and drop in.
Just get you a d motor and go!!!

Really? Your gunna pay a shop 800 in labor plus cost of parts for almost no power gain? No matter what you drive with an Auto its gunna be slow.
My suggestion save your money and just pay a shop to do the headgasket, or take 4 hours and do it yourself for 100 dollars. To be honest I'm pretty sure an auto B18 will still be slower than a Manual Y7.
And if you need any parts, www.craigslist.org

Re: what swap should i go for???
Well 850 for parts and labor seems pretty shady to me, your either getting a shoddy engine or shoddy work. If it takes a shop 4 hours to do brakes, I'm pretty sure it will take them 10+ to do you swap so something doesnt add up. If you want a small power gain for cheap do an auto to manual swap and get you headgasket fixed. You don't know what kind of problems your going to get with your new motor till you get it from the shop. For 850 I don't think they would take the time to go through the engine let alone the timing belt.

Re: what swap should i go for???
first that shop is ripping u off. 2nd autos in hondas only hold 2 300hp at the bell housing. so thats y u dont c anybody going woot for auto. autos r faster at shifting, in anything but a honda. n u do need a new ecu n wiring harness if u do a vtec motor. DO NOT DO A B SERIES SWAP! u dont know enough judging from ur posts. if i was in ur shoes id find a buddy to do a head gasket for u n have a shop do a full exhast n call it good enough. if u want something faster in an auto go with a chevy colbolt or something.
