Default Swap choice Assistance please

I tried searching so spare the "why dont u search" comments. ok i got that off my chest, next...

I wanted to do a swap in my 99 civic DX auto trans, but im not sure of everything i will need to make it a complete and reliable swap, and another thing is im not sure of exactly which motor i want to swap to B18c or H22a. another thing is i dont know if i want stay with an auto or go to 5speed- or 6 cuz im not comfortable with stick and no1 ever taught me.

so if you have any , opinions, information, or websites on what to buy and where to buy it let me know thanks in advance for any help what so ever

It all depends on the $ you have to work with and the end result you want to achieve. Are you going to do your own work or are you going to be paying someone else to do it? There's a lot of things to think about that will effect your choice of the swap. I personally would change to a manual tranny for obvious reasons. You can change the car over, it's not as hard as people make it out to be but at the same time you might consider selling the car and choosing one with a manual tranny as the basis for the swap. Just do some research and read the debates, the arguments over which swap is better should help you decide what's best for you.

I'm in the same boat as you, don't feel bad my civic is just as slow. I'm also trying to convert into a manual but cannot find the right sites. I'm still also stuck on what engine I want to replace mine with. So if you come across any prices or conversions to manual let me know. Here is a site that you can look at for my 99 Civic EX. http://members.cardomain.com/joncardi_671
