What ECU to run on a stock LS motor?
hey guys my stock rebuild is almost complete and I'll be putting it in within a few weeks when the car comes back from the body shop but I have a question about what I should use for an ECU.
I have a 94 Civic coupe SI, it came factory with the P28 and I have it chipped already. The motor I'm putting in is a OBD I LS engine with your basic I/H/E done to it.
I want to get the car tuned just to be able to push the most power it can produce for the time being, but before it goes to the shop for the tune will I be safe to drive on the P28?
If I were to use the integra OBD I ecu, would that be better to run for now instead of my P28? Reason I ask is the integra ECU will have all the maps etc... for the motor, while my P28 is for a SOHC D16z6
thanks
btw: I've searched but can't figure out what would be best.

Of course the best would be your P28 with tuned maps. Or you could always sell the P28 and pick up a P06, with the profits you're that much closer to tuning.
but for now an OBD1 P75 would be the best bet for it.
you can also simply burn the stock LS maps into your P28's chip.

Any suggestions where I can find the LS maps so I can get them burned to a chip?
thanks for the reply so far man

the stock ecu would be the best, but you prolly could get away with runing the p28 and be throwing the vtec solenoid and pressure switch code. you could always pick up a po5 and chip it.
