How good are you at rewiring? You could rewire your whole harness into obd2 from OBD1. But i wouldnt even do that to much work.
Simple way out:
Alternator - Get an obd1 B series
Wiring harness - any obd1 wiring harness
Dist. - OBD1 B series VTEC
Injectors - obd1 or rewire your obd2 injector clips to your obd1 harness (easy)
Congrates now your obd1.

If you have the 99gsr wiring harness just use the alternator plug and distributor plugs on your civic harness and it should work fine
Also use your stock civic injectors

Just use the OBD2 GSR engine harness and an OBD1 ECU.
Everything will work fine.
The above suggestions are far more costly.

the Obd2 harness on integras and some civics have the shock tower plugs (I think ALL tegs have this but not ALL civics)
The plugs are all the same either OBD1 or OBD2
then chip your ecu and add a b18c map (copy and paste in crome)

A car that had a D16Z6 is obviously wired for VTEC.

If you knew this before, why did you suggest hacking up two perfectly good engine harnesses?
