Default What do I need for a B18C5 Bottom End and a B16a1 Head?

I already did a search and couldn't find anything...

But anyway.. I have a b18c5 bottom end with around 100k on it and a fresh b16a1 head and I was wondering what I need to put this thing together?? as in what head bolts, headgasket, etc...

And is there anywhere where I can find some more info on this setup??

Thanks

Use all C5 parts, ie headgasket and head studs/bolts. A b16 is basically a less ported C5 head so you will almost have a complete C5 motor.

the head casting for the b16 and the c5 are the same thing. get that thing ported and polished mildly and you will basically have a whole type r motor

Sorry to butt in on ur post but I've got a motor like this on its way from Japan (I live in the UK).

Its a 96+ B18c type R inc a B16a head with stage 3 JUN cam kit. Its missin the intake manifold & TB so ive got hold of a B16B intake manifold but need to work out whats the best size TB to get, I was thinkin 68mm?

itr would still be sufficient, and you have to watch out for overbores as there is a lot of throttle plate sticking....RC's are good if you can find them. not to dog them but the jg overbores are awful in my experience, as have been some others by report. the b16 intake mani has done well dynowise against the itr oem one...
