there's usually a tab on the front where the tranny mates with the motor. on the back, you could screw a bolt into an empty hole, or use the alternator bracket.

the big starter bolt (easiest access) and there is a hole on the back of the head (drivers side) that a 14mm bolt will go into
thats what i used.
thats what i used.

In my helms for my 94 gsr it shows 2 attatchments for the hoist, one on drivers side rear block, and one on trans side. Where do you get these

Re: What do I hook a chain to to hoist the engine out? (TurboTeG4)
I raised my car @ 3ft off the ground and put it on h.d. jack stands and just dropped the engine/tranny out of the bottom of the engine bay using a large transmission jack(one used for big rigs) It has saftey chains attached to the main part of the jack hold the engine and tranny in place keep the it from shifting and falling. This process takes about an hour or two if I have no problems. I have an engine hoist but I only use it for RWD cars. Now that I'm into hondas it makes a nice coat rack.
