what body could the motor from a 94 del sol vtec be put in?
i believe the motor is a b16a, but i'm not all that familiar with honda engines. i was looking for whatever would be the easiest body to swap the engine in to, what would require the fewest extra parts and what not. can anyone help? i'd like to try and swap the motor for less than 1k. would that be possible?

been a b16a doesn't help. there are two knowen ver. of that engine. if it is a b16a 1st gen w/ cable tranny then your best bet is 88-91 civic or crx. If it is a b16a 2nd gen with a hydo tranny then 92+ civic. now depeneding on how complete u have and how much u know about engine swap. the more parts u have and the knowlege to swap than 1k should be ok, but don;t know then look to spen about 1,500-2,500 depending on were your at.
this well tell you which b16a is which

Actually there are four emissions teirs, 89-91 OBD 0, 92-95 OBD I, 96-98 OBD II, and 99-00 OBD IIb, and like he said there are two tranny types cable and hydraulic, but if he had bothered to READ the title of the thread, "what body could the motor from a 94 del sol vtec be put in?", that would eliminate the problem, your motor is OBD I, with a hydraulic actuated tranny, and it is almost a straight drop into any 92-95 civic chassis, the VX, Si, and EX being the easiest since they already have vtec and the wiring is lessened. The others are really just as easy just an extra step or two. You need to get the motor and tranny, duh, and the axles, shiftlinkage, and ECU or you can use the P28 from the Si,EX and have it chipped to DOHC specs.
