Weird JDM H22A Problems...
So I just picked up a EG hatch with a JDM H22a. Guy doesnt know why oil and water are mixing. He just put on a Cometic Head Gasket for 92-96 Preludes along with ARP Head Studs.
Now heres the thing. The car drives just fine for about 30 minutes. When I checked the Oil in the head, everything was perfect. No signs of headgasket problems. Checked the Dipstick, all fine. Pulled the radiator cap, all cool.
So I went on my merry way and 30 minutes later, sure enough, it was overheating. I pulled over and popped the Radiator Cap.
Honestly, it was the worst Head Gasket issue I have ever seen. Its literally like lava pouring out the Radiator. Pulled the Oil Cap, and its frothy. No traces of coolant in the dipstick. But after it all cools down, this is this THICK mucus looking oil residue in the radiator?
Could he have put the wrong Head Gasket on? I mean it pulls just fine (no, I never hit vtec. I just drove it 60mph at 2.8krpms.) Gets up to speed like normal, just really low idle.
He gave me the box and receipts for the Cometic, it says 92-96 Prelude. I am new to H's but iirc, some are open deck and some are closed. Any help would be great. I have dealt with Blown HG's before, but never to this magnitude.

Could be a number of reason, crack head/block, improper torquing/sequence, etc.The only way you're gonna find out is to tear it apart.

if its a newer h22a, then possible its the wrong headgasket, or yea the mating surface could be messed up, head warped, etc. wont know till you take it apart and check it.
