Default vtec not working (cel vtec pessure switch )

I have a 96 hatch. I put a 2000 sohc vtec in. pinned knock, vtec oil pressure, vtec silonoid, and did iacv repin. I used the 96 cx harness. I also put the inturnals of the sohc non vtec distributor in the sohc vtec distibutor housing so I wouldn't have to cut the distibutor plugs and put another plug on them. Everything else works great but throw cel 22. I also have converted back to obd1. Anything would be helpful. thanks And if anyone asks yes all wiring is pinned correctly. 100% sure with obd2 pins and the black ground for the vtec pressure switch has been grounded.

Default Re: vtec not working (sihatch19)

i got that code once.. u might try checking to make sure the black wire is grounded properly.. mine broke in the middle of my harness and i couldnt see it.. but we just spliced the black wire and grounded it on the block nearby...

theres a link here somewhere that gives a big list on what to check for a faulty vtec system. search for it.. im sure u can find it.

I know you don't want to hear about bad wiring, but that's what happened to me too. When I was rewiring my harness, I ran out of OBD2 pins. So I purchased some more at a scrapyard, but I got OBD1s instead. Didn't notice until I tried to fit them in. They went in, but not 100% ok.

It turns out the pin used on the knock sensor was loose at the ecu. It was pinned in the right spot, but just loose.
