Default vtec crossover

i recently swapped a 94 gsr into my 93 eg sedan and was just wondering at what rpm my vtec is supposed to be crossing over? it seems that 4200 is the magic number in my car but someone is telling me now that my ecu is fried. Nothing else about the car is acting funny and i do get a cel but i just figure its cuz i never ran the knock wire. can anyone elaborate without this turning into a discussion about something else?

jezzz did you wire in anything? hehe, secondaries he means the secondary butterflies(iabs) that open up the short runners in your dual-runner manifold for top end power. and you should really hook them up cuz its pretty bad *** when they open up. your top ends gotta kinda suck with out them, do it.
