V6 Civic ???
Has anyone put a v6 into a Civic yet. I had a 2000 Accord sitting next to a "95" Civic coupe today. My tape measure says it would be a tight fit, but it looks to be doable. I'd love to see a kit for it.

3 words - Not worth it...
As it has been proven time and time again, just cause you have a smaller engine, doesn't mean you can't make power. Look also at the aftermarket support for B series engines... I think SOHC VTEC engines have more support than the Accord V6 engines...
Stick with the 4 cylinder...

Re: V6 Civic ??? (DX Generation)
I don't think that is would be worth it (after martket support being what it is for Honda V6's) but last year I saw 90 CRX with a Legend Type II motor in it. It was a shoehorn job but I bet the car was pretty quick in a straight line.

Why not just buy a back half kit for a Hatch or CRX and weld up some mounts for an NSX drivetrain? Then it will be rear wheel drive and you can get upgrade parts/bolt on's for the NSX motor.

What I'd really like to do is back half it with a Ford nine inch, small block Chevy and a tube frame. I just don't have the time and patience to for it. And i'm to cheap to pay someone to do it for me.
Also, for those whose want to put a V6 in a Civic, I have one question for you, how do you plan to drive it? The only way i could see this is if you went in a straight line all the time. You see people even having problems driving with a H22 swap, so I don't see the V6 as a daily driver.
Now for the CL Type-S motor supercharged, I wanna see a Stock Supercharged Type-S motor putting down 350-400 hp with 300 ft. lbs. I think too many of us are reading magazines and believing them.

there is a CRX with a NSX motor in the rear....
it does exist
and you can modify the CL-S block to be 3.5L
so how about a supercharged 3.5L CL-S motor

Why?
All I'm trying to do is get people to think practical. Sure, any engine can be put in any chassis, with the right amount of money of course - There's a CRX with an Eclipse turbo motor, so what? Put a V6 in, so what? Are you going to be driving that car to Wal-Mart? I don't think so. If it's going to be put in a CRX, then why not put it in a tube frame Hatch? People tend to think that if you put a powerful engine in a tiny car, it's gonna be fast. What they don't realize is how much it takes to make a race car go fast. Put the 3.5 CL-S motor in a CRX and I will show you broken axles...
And to the guy that said 300 ft/lbs couldn't be achieved in a 4 cyl - What do you think the AEM civic puts down? Way more than 300...
