Type R running way too rich!!!! Please Help!
Ok guys I'm new to honda tech, but I have been working on Honda's for the past 10 year, and I have a big head scratcher for you. So me and a buddy swapped a type r in to his del sol si-r. The engine came out of a 97 integra. The engine ran great before it was pulled from the integra, so we swapped into the del sol. Everything went well, the sol originally came with a b series and it bolted right up. Ok here's where it gets a little tricky! The type r was originally obd2. It was converted to obd1. It has a chipped p28 ecu from a company called Phearable. Now the car runs but loads way up on fuel, and idles like crap and if you try to hold a constant rpm. WOT is fine because it can burn the fuel.it's blowing hella smoke and Its dumping so bad, fuel is getting in to the oil. So here is what we have checked. Brand new tps, and calibrated it, new coolant temp sensor, new fuel pressure regulator new fuel filter, checked to see if the return line was plugged (it's not) the engine has a map delete so it's not that, new iacv, no vacuum leaks, all the grounds and wires are conected and are right, new air intake temp sensor, the rail at idle is 45 psi, and all of the injectors are new. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated! I think it's a bad tune in the ecu. I need this thing for a daily so if you guys can think of anything let me know.... Thank you

The guy who owned the engine before deleted the map. And what they do is put a chip in the computer and burn a base tune in the computer using crome.

A map delete? How does that work? I've heard of something similar for boosted applications so the map doesn't see boost but not deleted totally. Does it throw any check engine codes?

Nope, no CEL. I've never seen anything like this myself, unless you get into drag civics. So the fuel is just controlled by the computer, and that's it.
