Default type r cam question

do I need type r valvetrain to run type r cams? or would these cams kill stock b16 valvetrain?

you may use itr cams on a stock b16 valve train, but I would not recommend revving higher than stock redline of the b16 (8000)

youlle be ok up to 8500 rpm
if its a first gen set of valvesprings, consider upgrading soon.

Upgrade your valve train if you got the extra cash. If you can't at the moment, try not to rev over 8k. You don't want your valves to float.
