True LS VTEC
From what i learned, a ture ls vtec is ls internals in a vtec bottom end. i am putting ls internals into a b16a1 bottom end, with my choice of pistons, my question will i have a problem with clearence with the b16 having a shorter deck height then say the ls blcok if i were to run jdm b16 psiton or even itr pistions thanks

I guess a 'true' LS-VTEC is what you want it to be. But as far as I am concerned, a true LS-VTEC uses an LS block. After all, that was the whole original idea of the concept - to build a 1.8 liter VTEC motor without the expense of any P72 parts. If you put it in a P72 block, then you just have a GSR/ITR/Poor man's ITR running an LS crank.

yea it might be a poor, but its ture ls vtec, but a ls rod and crank combo will give u like 1.899.... displacement, where as the a gsr, and type-r is only 1.7..., and a b16 is 1.5..... correct me if i am wrong but its as close to a 2 liter, without a new block, and has the ability to rev to 8000 82000. but just my out look or opinion
