I'm putting a d16z6 head on my d16a6 block. I got everything hooked up. It won't start... It's turning fine. and i think im getting a spark b/c at first there was a big flame that shot out my exhaust pipe. But its not firing up. any other things to try.

 

dont think youre getting spark, know you are, pull out a plug and wire and see if it sparks, if it does, check for fuel pressure, if you have both of those, check the cam timing.

 

I'm getting spark, I have fuel pressure, And I am for sure my cam timings on. Could it be something to do with my distributor.

 

you should check everything with the distributor, could be the igniter try everything!! i have the same swap mini me and i found that it was the igniter

 

i did a mini-me swap and it sat for 2 months because i could not start it, my white wires on my distributor were switched, so my ignitor was not getting power. switched them and it started right up.
