Default Re: Tranny mount question (GReddy SI)

Get a DC chasis mount rear bracket cause 2000 SI bracket wont work.Delsol and SI will throw you off. Its pretty cheap under 50 buck's. The transmission bracket on the front of the transmission will work just use the bracket with the civics mount that bolts up to the under side of the chasis leg. on the top of the transmission just use the sohc mount. on the timing belt side if you have the mount on your car that is steel then your o.k. but if you have the cast aluminum integra style mount then you will need to buy an integra 1.8 bracket that goes under the timing belt cover. The bracket that goes to the mount up front under the power steering pump only matters if you keep A.C and some fit and others dont fit the sohc compressor. If it doesnt then use a delsol doch mountbracket there will be p54 cast on it and I found that the CRV also has the same bracket and most people dont know so they will sell it for the low, low. The distributors wiring will be needed to changed to plug up since you cant use SI harness but you can use the harness for VTEC pressure,VTEC solenoid and Knock sensor wires to run these things but you will need pins to connect it to the OBD1 ecu. Dont forget to run the ground to the rest of the harness at the thermostat housing for VTECpressure. You will also need to use a OBD1 ecu, no jumper harness p72(94-95gsr)P61(92-93gsr)P54(94-95delsol)or something like a P28(92-92 civic sohc vtec with a skunk2 or Hondata or whatever rechip you like.Make sure your shift linkage and axles are good from your Si you can also use the brakes and struts from the front of the car and also the rear disc except the lower control arms and shocks. make sure you dont cut the brake lines or e-brake cables. If you want power sterring the you must use the SI high pressure powersterring line. You should be a pretty straight little hatchback after the swap.
