Throttle cable difference between b18b and d16y8
I am very close to finished on my swap but cant figure out how the throttle cable attaches to the throttle rotor on the ls. My original motor is a d16 and I am also using a skunk manifold. Can someone inform me on how the throttle cable hooks up, i know its different between engines.

Re: Throttle cable difference between b18b and d16y8 (mmuller)
heres a pic of how it looks right now. the wholes that are supposed to attach to the intake manifold dont line up. And using a b series throttle cable may work but there is a difference between the way the si throttle rotor looks and the way the ls throttle rotor looks.

Is that a GSR tb? I believe it is, in which case you need to get a new throttle plate spring, plate spinner, and a custom cable mount.

i have the same dilemma.
From what engine/car model throttle plate springs, mount, etc. do I need to connect a cable to my skunk2 manifold on a B18C1?

Get a SOHC or DOHC (non gsr) throttle spring/plate spinner. Then go to home depot and get some stiff angle iron and make your own cable mount, it works.
And yes thats a GSR TB.
