Default throttle cable problem

We (me and my car) have a huge problem. I have a 95 civic coupe. I swapped in a b18b flawlessly. Here is the problem. The throttle cable does not fit. I bought a 95 LS throttle cable. The part number checks out (17910-SR3-L01). I am running the stock LS manifold but I think I might be running a crv throttle body. And the throttle cable bracket is a 95 LS as well and it has P75 stamped on it. Could the crv throttle body be the culprit? The cable is just too short. I was thinking about cutting the rubber "stopper" part near the end of the cable on the pedal end. This seems like it would lengthen the cable to the throttle body. Is this modification normal for a civic swap or is the throttle body the problem. Or should I use a different throttle cable bracket on the intake manifold?

I believe you can use a civic throttle cable, but don't quote me on that.

The throttle body shouldn't be the culprit, the CRV and LS TB's are the same, unless im very much mistaken.

EDIT- just searched, it looks like the LS cable should work. Don't cut the rubber stopper, see if you can shorten the bracket on the TB.

Unfortunately the civic cable does not fit. It is way too short. Well atleast it wont fit without some ghetto look to it. I want to keep it clean though. No crooked brackets attached with one bolt haha

In case anyone cares, I fixed the problem. I just cut the rubber piece that I was talking about off. Its like a little spacer from the end of the cable to the pedal connection. THe length of that piece was the approximate length I needed for the cable to reach the throttle body.

Just for reference sake, it's rediculously easy to combine/rig/modify throttle cable brackets to make just about any cable fit on any engine.
