Default thermostat and thermo switch (b18c1)?

im swapping a b18c1 gsr motor into my 90 crxsi(obd 1 p72 ecu & dis)
i got of hold of a thermostat housing from guy here on ht awhile back, i didnt have one for the motor.

i didnt realize it till i looked at my helmes, but theres no thermo switch, its says pr3
im assuming it must be from a b16.
it does fit, my question can i do with out it?
for some reason i think i may need it , maybe the ecu will throw codes or something

post welcome
thanx

If there is no ECT sensor on the thermostat housing neck, then it is a OBD0 housing. All you need is the thermostat housing neck (the piece that has the cooling hose connected to it) (OBD1) to make the cooling fan work (cause OBD0 have the ECT sensor on the block and OBD1/2 have it on the thermostat housing).
