Swapped b16a2... running into problems
I swapped my j-spec b16 into my 93 del sol about a month or so ago... hasn't ran right since first got it running. The motor studders, idles rough, and runs very rich. Also, there is gas in my oil. It is running so rich that my car puffs out black smoke at just an idle, and puffs out clouds when i get on it. It throws a check engine code of 43 (fuel supply system). In my own quest to fix this problem i have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel injectors, and fuel pressure regulator. I have also adjusted the iacv (idle air control valve) and still same problems. Recently I thought it might be my ecu, since it is a chipped ecu. I thought that the program might be bad or something so i removed it to send it back to the place it was programed at and put my stock sohc ecu inplace.... but the same problems still continued running on my sohc ecu. If anyone can help that would be great... i am completely stumped
i dont know if it would make a diff. but... i did not hook my knock sensor up. if that helps any.
Thanks,
Adam

Re: Swapped b16a2... running into problems (HOOKUPS)
well at first i didnt have my map sensor hooked up because i didnt know how to do it... but when someone showed my how to do it, i hooked it up... and it ran fine for a little while. but wouldnt that throw a map sensor code and not a fuel supply system code?

Re: Swapped b16a2... running into problems (ilovemyeg2)
just wanted to say that i fixed half of my problem. i had a bad wire harness and i swiched it out. runs better no smoke, doesnt bog down, and the idle is smooth... but im still throwning the fuel supply code. got a flowchart to fix it tho.
thanks for all the help
