I always thought about it this way....
Every mod you do to an engine removes some potential. You supercharge an engine, that removes a LOT of potential.
However, you put in a NEW engine that makes lots more power, you have lots MORE potential!
This line of thought is making me consider a B18C1 swap in the next year or so...

SWAP
well let's see there is a dohc vtec del slo here in my town, he runs 15.7-15.8 with i/h/e and a phantom grip, might be runnin slicks too... now if you put a s/c on a 1.6 that runs 17-15??? depending on mods then where would you be??? maybe 14 at the lowest??? buy a b16 build it and then swap. gut out your slo and get the weight down and you'll be quick.. that's if you plan on staying n/a if you want to s/c later then just lightly build the motor and then boost it. you'll be doing good.. If you don't have the cash to build then swap expect to run in the 15, well depending on altitiude.

I just swapped a B18c into my coupe. I orginally had a 1.6 sohc w/ turbo...I ran 13.9 with it (not bad, just not enough). However, I had almost everything done to it, not much potential! Remember ***Speed*** is addicting. Once you go fast you will always want to go faster.

We just got it in 2 days ago...It is still missing the tranny motor mount (had to order from acura) and the ecu is throwing a 23 code (knock sensor). We apparently wirred it wrong. I prolly won't even run the car untill I get the Drag Gen 3 w/ Ball Bearing upgrade put on. Then I better be in the high 12's or I will be pissed. We'll see...I'll keep u posted!
