Alright, i just got done doing a swap into a 99 hatch.... everything went pretty well. Now the problem is that i am not hitting v-tec??? I do have a check engine light now i heard that when a check engine light is on that v-tec will not kick in is this true??? Its a b16 a obd1 motor into a obd2 civic.... thanks

 

first thing u wanna do is get the code to see what it is.... Some codes won't let vtec engage and other minor ones will let it engage but I'd get the code first thing, if u don't know how to get the code search on here how to get it.
