Swap help
Hi i just swapped in a Ls into 96 civic...The problem is that it wont idle...like it is hunting for idle...The motor is in time...It also is throwing a distributor code even after it was changed...I bought a jkobd obd2a-obd1 conversion harness for the swap... I was kinda thinking the problem could possibly be something with the harness cause the lights would just come on very dim, while they were off...When you turn the lights on, the left turn signal just stays on...Nothing was just to the wiring... Could it be the conversion harness? Please help.
You need to remove and relocate one wire at the ECU (IACV sensor). This will make your car idle the way it should. Click on the link below.

A conversion harness pretty much just let's you use a different OBD version ECU than your chassis. There is usually some wiring to be done which a conversion harness can't take care of.

Look at the picture...of the link provided in my previous post. You have to remove and replug this wire in order for you car to run right. A conversion wiring harness does not relocate this wire.
