Default strange idle issues

'97 civic CX, obdI converted /w a '95 JDM h22a. Using the 'lude p13 ecu, it idles horrible. Using a p72 gsr ecu, it idles great. The motor feels much more powerful /w the lude ecu (I imagine because the gsr ecu will run it lean). What could cause it to idle bad with the 'lude ecu?

Also, the whole setup in general feels slow. It's definitely torquey, but it lacks in the high end. It feels like you're just waiting for it to pull harder. I do have the stock CX exhaust... how much will that hurt my high end?

Tried the lude ecu out on a friend's h22 civic, idles fine (means the lude ecu is ok). His chipped p28 ran my car fine as well.

I really need to figure this out... any thoughts?

do you get any CEL's with the P13 ecu? why don't you just run the P28 if it runs good with it?

It doesn't pull nearly as hard with the gsr ecu.

Also, no codes thrown with either computer

they're fine.... I also hooked up my boost gauge (not boosted yet, but soon), and it reads around 18psi vacuum (which is right for my elevation up here, 6000ft)

The thing is: it works fine with the p72, but not with the p13

Well you might just have a bad ECU.
