Default Some B16 Swap Questions. Please Help!

My buddy and I are going to swap a 2nd gen B16A into his '94 EG hatch and I just had a few questions about making the swap go as smooth as possible.

-Will the stock D-series motor mounts work correctly with the B16?

-Is there any modifications needed to the harness. I know that VTEC-E is a simplified form of VTEC, but is the wiring the same?

-Which fuel line and filter should we use?

I'm not familiar with Civic swaps, so this is why I'm asking. If only it were as easy as my Integra...

Thanks for your help. I did search, but couldn't come up with all the answers I needed!

Yes most of the D series mounts will work. Only thing you need is a 94+ Integra rear tranny bracket.

Just knock sensor to D3 which is 1 wire. And if you use the VX harness you will need to configure from a 5 wire O2 to a 4 wire O2 sensor. Other than that, VTEC wiring is the same.

Stock fuel filter and fuel line will work.

Keep us posted bro

I have a DC2 to pull parts from, so the mounts probably won't be a big deal.

Any details on the O2 sensor swaping? Just use a 4 wire O2 sensor and attach a 4 wire plug to the harness, correct?

You can reuse the stock EG upper tranny mount but that's about it. You will need a 94-01 Integra driver's side mount + bracket, 94-01 Integra rear bracket, 94-01 Integra front tranny mount and a Del Sol VTEC bracket if you want to keep A/C.

I'm guessing that you are referring to the VX model? For the most part the wiring is the same, other than the O2 sensor. If you reuse the VX Harness you will need to repin the stock O2 plug-in with a 4 wire O2 plug-in. If you need to know which wires to reuse let me know.
If you use another engine harness that already has a 4 wire O2 sensor, all you need to do is unpin and the repin 1 wire on the cabin harness side in a different location.

There should be no reason why you can't reuse the stock fuel line and you will keep the stock fuel filter.

Cool beans.

OK, exactly what mounts and brackets do I need? Anyone have the Honda part numbers? Can you point them out on this illustration for me...

The 99-00 Si rear bracket will not work in the 92-95 EG Civic's. The people that use the 99-00 bracket are using that with B series swaps in the 96-00 EK's.
