Should there be any play in the shift lever (base bushings)
Like the topic suggests:
At the base of the shift lever, where all the bushings are sandwiched together, then placed in the gearshift rod "fork", secured with a bolt and a nut. Should there be any play in this assembly? I have like 5 mm play here. Im thinking something is missing.
the 21-24 area

Re: Should there be any play in the shift lever (b20guy)
Are you talking about lateral movement/instability? It could be in the linkage itself. You can get kits that should take the play out of things, by replacing bushing #'s 16 and 14.
