when driving on the highway past 70MPH, I get vibration in my shifter. Only happens at higher speeds. Makes an annoying noise. I took off the boot and greased the hell out of it but that didn't solve the problem. I don't see anything hitting it under the car--like a heat shield or something.

Any way to cure this?

 

replacing the bushing might help, and the shifts will feel more precise

 

Mine does it too. Its the bearing thats under the shifter (under the ball thingy) where the bolt goes across. Maybe time to switch to a shorty..

Do you know exactly which parts need replacing so I can order them?
The sound is annoying me!

Never replaced my shifter bushing, is it difficult to do? Will I need access to a press to do it?

Not sure if I need a short shifter, I like the stock shifter on my GSR.

replace the bushing first (cheaper and will help anyway)
not that bad to do but if the bolts are rusted its a PITA.
