The shiftlinkage pin?
How do I get the shift linkage pin out? I tried for about 2 hours with no luck. I am about to just pull the engine with the linkage hookup up because its pissin me off. Also does anyone know about the alternator. The swap came with the alt. and it has a 3 pin plug, and with the civic wiring harness has 4 pin plug. Does anyone know how to wire this? Thanks for all the replys.

Go to home depot, buy a 3/8" rod. Cut offf a piece like 6" and use it as a tap.
I think it took me no more then 2 minutes to get the pin out.
Good luck.

I used a bolt just smaller than the pin...you really have to beat the **** out of it...so If it's not moving...hit it harder

What is the advantage of a pin? My friend lost his, so he replaced it with a bolt of the exact same size. The bolt has been on there for about a year, and he hasn't had any problems (like it vibrating out or anything). So why a pin instead of a bolt?

Guys, thanks for all the replys. I use the ac tensioning bolt and about 3 wacks and it came out. If I knew it was that easy, it would have saved me alot of cussin.

Me Too!Hold it in the middle w/visegrips and whack it w/a BFH!Just don't use an A/C tensioning bolt that you plan on using again.Sometimes if it's pointed on the end,you may need to grind it flat.Happy Whacking!
