semi built b16 wont start!!HELP
HERES THE SET UP:
OBD 1 B16A
DC HEADER
CTR PISTONS
REV VALVE SPRINGS
SS VALVES
TITANIUM RETAINERS
B-M FUEL PRESSURE REG.
STOCK B16 CAMS
PORT AND POLISH
Here is the deal.ive got it all together its got spark its got fuel and its got 210 psi of compression all across.But whene i try to start it it wont start it anly sputers and wont relly try to start at all.and some times it will back fire a little buts thats it.I have the fuel pressure set at 50 psi . o yea its in a92 cx hatch.And i tried running it on a repro.p28 computer.But i also tried a stock gsr p72 ecu.and the same thing.

make sure all the fuses are good and make sure your ecu is in working order. if all those things are good, you should check your coil and replace that. good chance it is your coil that is bad. good luck

yeah, thats possible, but i doubt it if its only one tooth, especially since you have such good compression numbers. my guess is that it is the ignition timing, i had the same problem with my car and the ignition is waht it was, just try adjusting the distributor. hope it helps

ive tried it in every positon and still the same thing. some one said maybe the stock distributer isnt gong to give off a strong enough spark for my set up.eney one ever heard of this.ive never heard of such a proplem..im totally baffled

nah, i dont think thats it, they have hondas making alot more power than you with stock ignition systems. make sure that the cam timing is set a 0,0 and then try moving the distributor, the slightest turns on the distributor can make a bigger difference than you think.

An engine needs three things to start........fuel, spark and compression. If you got those three and it doesn't start you can always check your ground wires. The groud wire that is connected to the transmission and the head.,

hey guys got it started, the timing was off. does anyone have a similar engine as i do and what fuel pressure you are running it at?
