s1 cable transmission question
I am trying to take the cover of of a S1 cable tranny. To slide the cover off I am trying to remove the snap ring under the 32 mm back nut. The problem is I see no way to remove it through the hole except to break it. Am I doing this right or wrong? Can anyone help. Thanks

Re: s1 cable transmission question (Ktbolin)
you don't remove it - you just spread it apart and lift the case until the snap ring slips up out of the groove in the bearing

Re: s1 cable transmission question (jlicrx)
Thanks for the advise. That worked great. Do you know if the s1 cable has the 4.4.final drive. I noticed the jdm version does and the oem does not. How can I tell them apart?

Re: s1 cable transmission question (Skinhead)
Thanks, I checked and have 66. I Guess I do have a jdm s1. I was concerned because I bought it of a kid for $250.00.
My next question is since that was available with a optional factory Lsd, except the Lsd , What additional parts do I need to install a factory Lsd. Thanks
